Seagate’s New 3TB Barracuda XT Provides Solution To 2.1TB Barrier

It is common to own terabytes of storage space these days but it is not something that computing pioneers back in 1980s have managed to foreseen. Hence, legacy PC BIOS and operating systems such as Windows XP are not able to support hard drive with capacity that goes beyond 2.1TB due to the limit of logical block address range.
Usually, one would require extra hardware or software to overcome that limitation but not with the new Seagate Barracuda XT 3TB hard drive. The new hard drive utilizes Seagate’s own DiscWizard software which enables the OS to detect the hard drive actual storage capacity for users to access. On top of that, the Seagate Barracuda XT is also a high performance SATA 3.0 hard drive boasting a 64MB cache and 7200RPM spin speed.
As Seagate have begun to ship the new hard drive to stores worldwide, expect it to arrive at your favourite retailers very soon. The new Seagate Barracuda XT 3TB hard drive is expected to be priced at around RM 850. For further information, head on to www.seagate.com
