How smart can your home get? Well, thanks to Samsung’s “Smarter Life”, your home can now be equipped with the company’s smart products ranging from smart TVs, 3D Blu-ray players, total 3D solutions, monitors, and home entertainment systems, but how smart can these electronic appliances get? Equipped with apps, Samsung’s flagship LED and Plasma TVs now comes with Samsung’s Smart Hub which offers an easily accessible gateway to favorite music, games, movies, TV shows, pictures and virtually any content online or on a network connected storage device. Furthermore, with the company’s Smart Connection, all these Samsung devices can automatically connect to each other for sharing of content, giving a better user experience to consumers.
“The ‘Smarter Life’ is about giving consumers access to a truly robust and awe-inspiring entertainment experience in the home. In this new era, only Samsung’s smart TVs offer a truly comprehensive ecosystem of content and services, integrated across the devices people use most in their daily lives.” – Stanley Goh, Director of Trade Marketing, Samsung Asia.
At the recent Samsung 2011 Southeast Asia, Oceania and Taiwan Forum which was held from 7-9 March 2011 in Singapore, Samsung showed off their entire portfolio of products ranging from not only these smart household appliances, but also cameras, mobile phones and what most of you’ve been anticipating for, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1.
Find out more after the break.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1
Staring at the 2011 Samsung Forum is the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, the first 10.1” Honeycomb-based tablet device from the company. Measuring at 10.9mm thin and weighing less than 600grams, the Tab 10.1 is packed with nothing but pure goodness under the hood – dual surround-sound speakers, an 8.1MP AF rear camera, 2MP front camera that enables users to capture videos at Full HD resolution.
I know, I know, you’re still hyping over the Apple iPad 2, I am, but if you’re looking for an alternative and something that can make web browsing more friendly, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 is equipped with Flash capability so you won’t have to buy a different browser to watch Flash videos or view Flash content all over the internet.
The device is equipped with a 1GHz Dual Core processor for a fast, powerful multimedia and web browsing experience. Additionally, the inclusion of a super-fast HSPA+ 21Mbps, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n increases mobile download speeds and reduces data transfer time.
Samsung Galaxy S II
Staring at the event was also the much talked about Galaxy S II. Measuring at 8.49mm thin and packed with a dual-core processor, it can deliver an unmatched viewing experience topped up with incredible performance. Powered by the latest version of Google’s mobile operating system, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, the Galaxy S II includes access to Samsung’s four new content and entertainment hubs, seamlessly integrated to provide instant access to music, games, e-reading and social networking services. Additionally, the Galaxy S II is equipped by the company’s new crystal-clear Super AMOLED Plus screen, the most advanced mobile visual display that does not compromise battery performance.
Now all these may sound for those who are always on the move, but it is also packed with features for business people on the go. The Samsung Galaxy S II is fully packed with enterprise solutions such as Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, on-device encryption, Cisco AnyConnect Virtual Private Network, Cisco Mobile and many more.
We have no news yet as to when these devices are coming to Malaysia, but news out there if it’s not by end of the first quarter of this year, it’ll be early next quarter. I don’t mind, at least, there’ll be a chance to take a glimpse of the said Galaxy Tab 8.9 that will be announced on 22 March.
Samsung Galaxy Smartphones
That’s not all Samsung has to offer, at the exhibition, Samsung also showed off its range of Galaxy Smartphones all powered by Android 2.2 OS system for a smarter user experience.
