NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 590 Is Now Official

NVIDIA (www.nvidia.com) sure does take their own sweet time to come out with this release but yes, the wait is now over. Rumoured to have been in work for quite some time, NVIDIA has finally take their leash off their new dual-core graphic card, the GeForce GTX 590.
The new card is essentially a combination of two GeForce GTX 580 running in SLI mode on the same circuit board and offers a total of 1024 CUDA cores that are paired together with 3GB worth of GDDR5 memory. Despite that badassery, the core inside GTX 590 actually runs slightly slower than the one in GTX 580 as GTX 590 core's base speed is rated at 607MHz (graphics clock) and 1215MHz (processor clock) in addition to the memory clock speed of 1707MHz. Nevertheless, that is still quite a significant amount of firepower for users to utilize.
The card is already on its way to retailer’s shelves worldwide with a price tag that starts at RM 2,117 (USD 699); the same base price as the other dual-core card in the hood, the AMD Radeon 6990. Check out a short video demo of the card by the people at NVIDIA right after the jump.

So, does anybody out there are daring enough to run two GTX590 together? Quad SLI mode, anyone?
