The TMS RamSan-70 affirms that everything is bigger in Texas

The peeps over at Engadget couldn't have said it any better - there are SSDs and then there are SSDs - when describing this new monster from Texas Memory Systems. Called the RamSan-70, and affectionately known within the TMS office as 900GB Gorilla, this PCIe mounted SSD holds a whopping 900GB of high-speed SLD NAND flash. Capable of a massive 2GB/second throughput, the RamSan-70 is indeed drool worthy, but probably won't ever make its way onto a conventional desktop since the only people who could afford such a monster would rather see it used on the servers that make them their millions instead of their porn gaming rigs.
Price tag? Well, for now it has yet to be announced probably due to the limited amount of zeros the human mind is conditioned to compute, but we're putting it somewhere between more expensive than your car and a little lower than the national debt. We could be wrong though...
